Exam Nerves
There are some people for whom the stress of exams is a motivator - both during preparation and when taking the exam;
but for most of us the perceived pressure to do well, or the consequences of failure, can trigger considerable stress and anxiety.
We’re all familiar with the rapid heartbeat and sweaty palms before exams or performance assessments; for some people the ‘pressure’
to succeed can cause severe anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks or even physical issues such as digestive problems, headaches, excessive sweating and muscle tension.
Exam results can be undermined as the subconscious mind interprets the situation as threatening and reacts accordingly.
Imagine if we were able to approach every exam feeling confident, focused, relaxed and with a clear mind.
In an exam, we need to feel confident, accompanied with a slight
rush of adrenaline, in order to
give of our best. A little stress actually improves memory and recall!
Hypnotherapy is very effective in re-training our
subconscious mind to respond with the increased confidence that
will
maximise our performance.
Common with so many other conditions, Hypnotherapy and EFT are
also used to uncover and reframe our limiting beliefs behind
any underlying anxiety,
whilst relaxation techniques are used to reduce immediate feelings of stress.
